Craft stores often have clear plastic ball-shaped ornaments available. They're more common around Christmas, but some stores carry them year-round. The balls can be opened, so you can put decorations inside.

Fill them with dark colored tinsel or shredded paper. Toss in a few little silver charms -- craft stores often have faux-Victorian charms of hearts. Or look in fabric stores for unusual buttons. Add a few ribbons tied to the top, along with some tiny flowers for decoration. You can also insert a slip of paper printed with the couple's names and wedding date.

Alternately, you can put just a little tinsel or paper inside the ball, and fill it the rest of the way with candy.
