Finally got to wear my Tudor gown (made from a @thetudortailor pattern) & new kirtle (draped on my @beatriceforms dress form). Tudor nerd on route to teach “essential Elizabethan accessories” at the West Kingdom Collegium. As a lifelong astigmatic, I always wear glasses (& I have only slight success with contacts). I love the recent explosion in cheap eyeglasses manufacturers! Finally I have a wardrobe of glasses as fun & cool as the rest of my wardrobe. Ending as I began with #allhallowseve for #fallforcostume The #fallforcostume theme is #spooky so here are some pix from last year’s @annericevampireball — spooky & beautiful event! I hope to return next year. For #tiaratuesday here’s an update to my tiara shelves — had to expand because I added several batty & spiderweb tiaras for Halloween! Most of my costumes & wardrobe is #dark so I could choose anything for #fallforcostume today. But this ensemble I made for the Portland vampire ball is a very favorite. It’s a concept I’ve been chasing for all my life, I think, & while this is close, I still don’t think I’ve perfected it, The #fallforcostume theme today is #mirror & I’m interpreting that as a mirrored pattern, aka reversible! I made this @rabbitandhatpatterns bodice in stripes on one side & red damask on the other for 2 Halloween looks last year. For the #fallforcostume theme of #hats I have to show this again, my giant Edwardian hat made from an Amazon sombrero - an idea learned from @festiveattyre!
